Ancelotti warns of the dangerous Barcelona star…and comments on Perez’s decision

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s coach, acknowledged the importance of El Clásico matches for everyone, stressing that despite this, it is not an important match in the La Liga table.

Real Madrid will host Barcelona tomorrow, Saturday, at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium, in the 11th round of the Spanish League, “La Liga.”

Ancelotti said in his statements during the press conference: “In El Clásico and derby matches, there is no favorite to win. One team may be better than the other. We are arriving well and so is Barcelona. It will be an amazing and very competitive match.”

He added: “It’s just an important match that deserves three points. Winning the Clasico match is very important for the fans and for everyone as well, but as for the standings, the season is very long and it is too early to talk about it.”

Ancelotti continued: “It is a decisive match in terms of points (not standings). Girona and Atletico Madrid are fighting and the league will be very competitive until the end. I hope the fans enjoy the match.”

The Italian coach warned of Barcelona’s danger, saying: “They are a great team with a good offensive and defensive organization, and they have many young players of high quality.”

He added: “Lamine Yamal stood out a lot and played well. He is a very dangerous winger. Fermin also played good matches. They are young men who have a future. We also have an amazing future with Bellingham, Vinicius, Arda Guler, Camavinga and Chomini. They are very young.”

Regarding Real Madrid president Florentino Perez’s decision not to attend the El Clásico match from the stands, Ancelotti said: “I do not know what the president will decide, but all the decisions he made were for the club’s benefit.”
