Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan decided to ignite the atmosphere of El Clasico against Real Madrid, by talking about Brazilian star Vinicius Junior.
The Real winger was subjected to a violent attack from fans and some sports figures recently, and in an interview with “Esport3”, Gundogan came out to express his opinion on this issue.
The German said in press statements: “Anyone can interpret Vinicius’ actions as a provocation, but for me I do not think that is the case. It is clear that he is aware that the fans will boo him if he does these things. Perhaps he likes to be whistled at in general.”
Regarding his expectations for tomorrow’s El Clasico against Real Madrid: “It will be a match full of emotions because it is a wonderful confrontation and may be the biggest in the lives of all the players. We must be more calm and patient than recently. The matches cannot become back-and-forth like what happened against Shakhtar.”
It is noteworthy that Gundogan, 33 years old, joined Barcelona during the last summer transfer period in a free transfer from Manchester City, and he succeeded in scoring 4 goals in 13 matches in the Blaugrana shirt so far.
